Convert PDF Drawings to JPG Without Uploading Them

Half the time an engineer needs a drawing as an image, not a PDF: a sheet pasted into a design-review slide, a part thumbnail for the ERP item master, a quick photo-sized copy WhatsApped to a vendor who is standing at the machine. Most online converters make you upload the file first — a hard no for customer drawings under NDA. This tool renders each page to JPG entirely inside your browser: the PDF is read locally, drawn onto a local canvas, and each image downloads straight to your machine. Nothing crosses the network.

Pick the right DPI for the job

The resolution selector sets how sharply each page is rasterised. 96 DPI is plenty for ERP thumbnails and chat messages — small files, quick to send on plant Wi-Fi. 150 DPI is the sweet spot for presentation slides and internal reports: dimensions stay legible on a projector without bloating the deck. 300 DPI matches print quality — use it when the image will be blown up on an A3 printout or a shop-floor display board. Quality is fixed at 90% JPG, which keeps line work crisp on engineering drawings.

How to convert

Large packs: split first

Conversion is capped at 30 pages, because rendering a 200-sheet drawing pack to images in one go will exhaust browser memory and flood your downloads folder. If your pack is bigger — or you only need one sheet as an image, which is the usual case — run it through Split PDF first and convert just the extracted pages. A single ballooned sheet at 150 DPI makes a perfect exhibit in an FAI review deck alongside the AS9102 Form 3 characteristic report.
