Rotate PDF Pages Without Uploading Them
Every plant has seen it: a supplier scans a stack of drawings on the office copier, and half the pack arrives rotated 90° — landscape A3 sheets scanned as portrait, title blocks running up the side of the screen. Uploading a customer drawing to a random rotation website to fix it is an NDA problem waiting to happen. This tool rotates pages entirely inside your browser: the PDF is read locally, the rotation flags are rewritten locally, and the corrected file downloads locally. Nothing touches a server.
Rotate everything, or just the sideways sheets
Mixed packs are the usual case — portrait report pages plus landscape drawing sheets. Choose All pages when the whole scan came in wrong, or Page range and type something like 2,4-6 to fix only the sheets that need it. Rotation is added to each page's existing orientation, so a page already stored at 90° goes to 180° rather than snapping back — exactly what you want when correcting a partially-fixed scan. Because only the page rotation entry changes, the drawing content is never re-rendered or re-compressed: dimensions, GD&T callouts and revision clouds stay pixel-identical.
How to rotate
- Drop your PDF onto the zone above (or click to browse) — the page count appears once it loads.
- Pick the rotation: 90° CW, 180°, or 90° CCW.
- Choose All pages or enter a range, then click Rotate & Download. The corrected file saves as
<name>-rotated.pdf.
Why orientation matters in document control
A sideways drawing is more than an annoyance. Reviewers approve documents faster when they can read them; CMM programmers pull dimensions off the sheet on a second monitor; and a released document that opens rotated in the viewer looks sloppy in a customer audit. Fixing orientation before release — while checking the sheet against ISO 2768 general tolerances or the title-block notes — is thirty seconds of hygiene that saves every downstream reader a neck cramp.
